About VM Art Management

Museum Standards, Tailored for Private Collections

At VM Art Management Consulting, our mission is simple: to bring the same care, professionalism, and strategic oversight found in world-class museums into the private sphere. Founded by Valentine Moreno, a museum and arts professional with over 20 years of international experience in the field, the consultancy is built on the belief that healthy arts administration and logistics are the foundation of sustainable collections care.

Valentine has worked across four continents with private collectors, cultural institutions, and artists, developing exhibitions and collections management strategies that support the growth, preservation, and legacy of artworks and cultural objects. Now based in Southern Spain, she works with clients and collaborators all over the world, offering tailored services that uphold museum best practices while respecting the individuality of each collection.

About Valentine

Valentine is a seasoned museum and arts professional with over 20 years of international experience in exhibitions and collections management. In 2022, she founded VM Art Management Consulting to bring museum-level standards into the private realm, offering tailored strategies for collectors and institutions worldwide.

As Exhibitions Project Manager at the Art Gallery of Ontario-AGO (2014-2018), she oversaw major international shows in partnership with institutions like the MET (New York) and Rijksmuseum (Amsterdam). She has also lectured at the University of Toronto and presented at key conferences, including the American Exhibition Organizers Annual Conference at the National Gallery in Washington, D.C.

As Curator of Multidisciplinary Programs at the Koffler Centre of the Arts (2012–2014), she produced a vibrant roster of public programs across literature, music, film, and performance. Her foundation in collections care was further enhanced during her time in the Canadian Art Department at the AGO (2010–2012), where she managed administrative processes for acquisitions, cultural property permits, and outgoing loans.

In 2009, she was awarded the Venice Apprentice Prize, assisting with the logistics and execution of the Canadian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale—a milestone that sharpened her expertise in managing large-scale international exhibitions. Before moving to Canada, she worked in São Paulo, Brazil, managing collections and cultural projects for artists, foundations, and institutions.

Valentine holds an MA in Museum Studies from the University of Toronto, a BA in Photographic Art and Culture from Senac University (São Paulo), and a Certification in Appraisal from the Sotheby’s Institute. She speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French, and brings a cross-cultural and multilingual perspective to her work.

With VM Art Management Consulting, Valentine now offers this wealth of experience to private clients seeking museum-quality support. Whether cataloguing a collection, preparing works for loan, or planning for legacy, she provides a steady hand, an analytical mind, confidentiality, and a deeply collaborative spirit to every project.
